Environmental printers

Heanorgate Printing is aware of the importance of environmental issues and to this end every endeavour is made to eliminate any unnecessary demand on the environment.

Through monitoring and calculating the input of our own activities we can determine and therefore eliminate wherever possible, any damage to the environment.

Environment policy

We work with all our suppliers in providing those chemicals, which are environmentally friendly.

We accept that if industrial processes are not carefully controlled this will have a damaging effect on the environment.

To this end we fully accept our social and moral responsibility in putting in place procedures to eliminate any damage to the environment.

We actively embark on a programme of continuous improvements with all environmental issues, some of which are indicated below:

• On site working practices are promoted with environmental controls being the catalyst in how we operate.

• Monitoring of all services is carried out to reduce waste.   Electrical monitoring is particularly important.   The power factor of the company is measured to eliminate wasted energy.

• All staff are informed of our policy on environmental issues, with a statement in the company handbook.

• Investments are made with the environment in mind, where every effort is made to combine improvements in productivity with improvements in the environment.

Managers are actively involved in making decisions in favour of the environment when purchasing consumables or implementing projects.

All employees are actively encouraged to work within the Company’s environmental guidelines.

We work with the local authority and Health & Safety Inspectorate in promoting safe working with environmental issue.
